OUR FIRM

Lawyers in Como Advising Individuals, Families, and Businesses

Ferrara, Zappoli & Partners is a boutique law firm headquartered in Como. Founded in 1955 and now proudly in its third generation, our team of seven lawyers — including three admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation and the higher courts — provides legal counsel to individuals, families, and businesses across nine core areas of law: civil, criminal, employment, commercial and corporate, real estate, family, succession, and insurance law, in addition to providing outsourced legal department services.

Our method is rigorous and consistent: we guarantee a dedicated lawyer for every matter, defined response times, and a transparent fee estimate agreed upon at the start of the engagement. While fully licensed to practice nationwide, we regularly appear before the courts of Como, Milan, and the Lombardy region.  For clients based abroad, the firm's International Desk provides tailored assistance both in Italian and English.

How we work

From Initial Contact to Engagement

01

Initial Contact

By phone, email, or throught our secure contact form. We gather the essential facts of the matter and schedule a confidential appointment, at our offices or by video call, within defined response times.

02

The Consultation

The meeting takes place directly with the lawyer who will handle the matter, reviewing the available documentation. By the end of the meeting, the legal picture, the viable strategies, and the applicable deadlines are clearly defined.

03

The Engagement

Upon the acceptance of the mandate, we provide a tailored fee estimate, prepared in accordance with the Italian statutory br fee scales: hourly rates, flat fees, or a retainer agreement for ongoing assistance.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What happens at the first meeting?

The first meeting usually lasts between forty-five and sixty minutes and takes place at our offices in Piazza Alessandro Volta 33 in Como, or by video call. We start from the documents available in order to define the issue and identify the options open to you. The cost of the consultation is confirmed when the appointment is scheduled; we accept credit and debit cards.

Which documents should I bring?

Please gather any documents relating to the matter: contracts, correspondence — including emails and messaging apps —, court documents served on you, accounting or corporate records, expert reports and public registry searches. Even partial material is valuable: it allows us to check deadlines and any urgent issues right away. When in doubt, bring more rather than less.

How are fees determined?

Fees are agreed when the engagement is accepted, through a tailored estimate prepared in accordance with the Italian Ministry of Justice bar parameters and proportionate to the value of the matter, its complexity, its urgency and the number of issues involved. We work on an hourly basis, on flat fees, or under retainer agreements for business clients.

How quickly do you respond to an enquiry?

Every enquiry normally receives an initial reply within two business days, naming the lawyer assigned to it and setting out the next steps. Where a deadline is imminent, a phone call is preferable, as it allows us to assess the urgency immediately. The firm provides assistance in Italian and English.

Do you see clients by appointment only?

Yes. The firm receives clients by appointment only, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Appointments can be arranged by phone, by email or through the contact form, and may be held at our offices or by video call, so that every client has time entirely dedicated to their matter.
